As a sponsor/donor of the NIHHC, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that with your help, much-needed health services are being provided to the community. Also, you will be building valuable connections with members of the community in Northern Indiana. Other benefits include links on our website and recognition in advertising materials for the NIHHC’s health fairs.
Are there interpreters or bilingual personnel at the NIHHC’s Health Fairs?
Yes. Bilingual staff is always available every step of the way to make the community and available health care staff comfortable. We want everyone to get the most out of this experience and a bilingual trained volunteer staff will make that happen.
Does the NIHHC provide clinical services?
No, but our bilingual personnel can refer you to affordable health care services in your area.
How can community members help?
If you want to be a volunteer, there are many different areas in which you can help. For example, during a health fair, you can help in registration, monitoring the halls, directing parking lot traffic, and interpreting. Volunteers will be assigned roles according to their strengths and preferences. You can also volunteer at our different health prevention programs. Those who wish to volunteer can fill out the application link to volunteer form and submit it online, by fax or mail.
How can hospitals, health care organizations, and health care professionals help?
Hospitals and health care organizations can help by providing much needed screenings, supplies, and monetary donations. Health care professionals can help by volunteering their time to perform screenings and/or provide one-on-one consultations regarding results.
How can I become a member of the NIHHC?
To become a member of the NIHHC, please download, fill out and submit the following form. You may submit it electronically through e-mail or through our contact form. You can also send it to us via fax/mail.

How much do you charge for the screenings offered at the NIHHC’s office free of cost?
The NIHHC charges only for those screenings requiring extra supplies. Assistance from NIHHC’s qualified personnel is part of the service to the community.
These are the costs of the screenings offered:
- Kidney- $80
- Lipid panel & glucose- $20
- Anemia- $10
- A1C- $35
- Blood pressure- free
- BMI- free
A $10 NIHHC yearly membership includes a free screening per year of lipid panel/cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index. And up to two more screenings during the year for half the price at the NIHHC’s offices (with an appointment).
If I miss a health fair, can I obtain screenings later on?
Yes. A variety of screenings are offered at the NIHHC’s office such as kidney, lipid panel/cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, anemia, and A1C at very low costs.
If I plan to attend a Health Fair, should I be fasting?
Participants that want to have lipid panel screenings and fasting glucose screenings should fast for 12 hours. There are many other types of screenings that do not require fasting.
Is there any cost to the community to come to the NIHHC’s Health Fairs?
All health screenings are provided completely free of charge.
Other than health care providers, who else is present at the NIHHC’s Health Fairs?
Several local businesses, banks, fitness clubs, insurance companies, and colleges may have booths at the events to offer information about their services. If you would like to purchase a booth or become a sponsor, contact the NIHHC.
What are the benefits of becoming a member of the NIHHC?
- Participation in NIHHC’s events and programs
- You will receive information of NIHHC’s program of activities every three months
